We do have various prayer focusses through the year as the Holy Spirit leads the eldership. We do encourage prayer in all facets of our Church life, for e.g.: home cell, before services and before all meetings in Jesus name.
We believe prayer enables powerful meetings and a greater depth and leadership through the Holy Spirit.
Prayer pockets are encouraged as well.
A prayer pocket is where 2 or 3 meet once a week to not only lift each other up but also to focus on reaching the lost, praying for leadership, the sick, South Africa, persecution in the world of Christians, etc. Once again these groups are led by the Holy Spirit .
We also have prayer warriors who are included in all email requests from our body for prayer where obviously anonymity is not requested. You may become a prayer warrior if you feel this is your calling.
When it comes to prayer we also follow the model of Jesus and encourage times of solitude with our Lord and Saviour as well as meditation on the Word, where we not only ask but also listen.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people (Ephesians 6:18).
This, then, is how you should pray:Our Father in heaven,hallowed be your name,10your kingdom come,your will be done,on earth as it is in heaven.11Give us today our daily bread.12And forgive us our debts,as we also have forgiven our debtors.13And lead us not into temptation,but deliver us from the evil one.14For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
(Matthew 6: 9-13)
As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you (2 Thessalonians 3:1).
There are various options for you to participate and grow in your walk with Christ:
- Should you wish to become part of, or start a new Prayer Pocket, and want to know who lives in your vicinity;
- Should you wish to become a Prayer Warrior, and receive emails regarding who needs prayer;
- Or if you need prayer;
then please contact the Church Secretary below who will gladly assist you.
